Seawall Motel and TideWatch Suites

The photos don’t do justice to the beautiful setting! Absolutely lovely ocean views, and just a few minutes from an Acadia entrance and Bass Harbor lighthouse. Our lower level room was immaculate and spacious. It’s about a 30 minute drive to the main visitor center. They offer a simple continental breakfast. There is a laundry facility with detergent provided, a welcome feature. There are no in room refrigerators, but a communal one is available. There is no AC, which didn’t present a problem for our visit at the end of September. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely return!

Quaint, quiet, and you can't beat the views, especially at sunrise! After a long day of hiking, you can't beat walking across the parking lot to get dinner. The rooms don't have a coffee pot/fridge/microwave, but there are easily accessible communal ones. For the price and place, you can't beat this place!

Very nice spot to stay. The location was great, near the sea and away from the hustle and bustle of the larger towns. There is a food truck right next door with some delicious lobster rolls and a great view. This is a classic old motel and they have taken good care of it, with some updates so it feels very nice. Everything was clean. The walls are thin, but you can get free earplugs at the front desk. The breakfast is plentiful and tasty. Most importantly, everyone we spoke to was so kind and friendly! I would stay here again.

I need to write this review as we are really impressed about the hospitality of the owner Charlotte. We had an issue with our reservation and the way this was handled was just amazing. Charlotte did everything to make us happy. Unfortunately we only stayed for one night, but the food was amazing and we had one of the most beautiful sunrise directly in front of the hotel. Thank you Charlotte for your hospitality - If we are coming back to Acadia we will stay at Seawall Motel again!!

Great location, friendly staff, many pleasant surprises! Photos below show what you can see in the morning when you walk along or across the road from the motel, in fact from a seaside multi-structure resort. Highly recommended.

I just spent 4 nights at the Seawall Motel and had a wonderful time. This motel is not only - Friendly it is also Dog Friendly, Budget Friendly, Ecology Friendly, and so much more. Being on the quiet side of the island, it is a great respite to be able to have pleasant conversations with everyone in the motel - owner, staff, and guests as they come and go. The location so close to the Seawall is peaceful and awesome. At night, I would walk to the seawall and was treated to amazing views that I just have not seen in a long time. The milky way greeted me, along with the sounds of the marsh brimming with wildlife including the song of the frogs. The clean, spacious rooms are a great price and they had a wide variety of complementary toiletries. Bed was comfortable. We did not want housekeeping during our stay, but were told to simply put our dirty towels outside our door and they would return clean items of what we set out. I appreciated not wasting resources washing towels or sheets not needing washed. You should be aware that they do not have air conditioning, BUT do not let this stop you from booking a room. Due to the location, there is always a wonderful cool sea breeze and the windows open and keep the rooms plenty cool. I had to use blankets at night in July! My husband never complained that there was no air conditioning and he ALWAYS has mine running. They do offer coffee and breakfast items in the office in the mornings. Everyone was so nice and helpful

Good place, would stay again. Friendly staff. The extra cooler in the laundry room was a life saver. I highly recommend a cooler if you stay, otherwise there's a public fridge which I am not one trusting of others about food. I'd give this 5* if there was a personal fridge and microwave. Laundry room is nice!

This hotel was the best, it’s in a quiet area and is just beautiful and across from the seawall where we walked over and watched the sun come up. They have a food truck there and a live band that played and the deer were everywhere. We have never seen so many Buck ever in one place, it was easy to drive to the main entrance of Arcadia and there’s a small town going to the hotel that we had the best dinner at. They say no ac but don’t let that scare you, it was so cool and a great breeze. We will be back on our next trip.
